About Me
Molly McCook was born into a show business family, and always knew she wanted to follow in the footsteps of her father, John McCook (The Bold and the Beautiful) and mother, Laurette Spang (Battlestar Galactica, Happy Days). Her natural instinct for performance has now blossomed into a professional career in Film, Television and Theater.
Molly most recently starred as Mandy Baxter in the long running family sitcom Last Man Standing. She joined the cast in the seventh season, taking over the role in 2018. Additional credits include the 2021 Discovery Plus and Food Network original Holiday film Candy Coated Christmas, Freeform’s Good Trouble, CMT’s His Wives and Daughters, Netflix's The Ranch, Modern Family, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Glee where she performed “Day Dream Believer” with Neil Patrick Harris. Molly's film credits include Lifetime’s The Landlord, as well as Excision (2012) and Trash Fire (2016) which both premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Recently, McCook recurred on ABC's Not Dead Yet, and starred in the romantic comedy film Maybe It's You now available on Peacock.
On the stage, Molly starred in Cruel Intentions: The Musical and originated the role of Annette Hargrove (played by Reese Witherspoon in the film). A highlight of the musical's four-month sold-out run in Los Angeles was the "best girls night of the year" when Reese, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Selma Blair reunited in the audience. News of the Cruel Intentions reunion was instantly trending across the Internet and led to a cast appearance on Entertainment Tonight where Molly performed "Torn", one of the show-stopping songs from the show.
